2024 GCA National Specialty AKC Lure Coursing Trial & Tests
Specialty Fast CATs

2024 GCA National Versatility Competition
NEWS!! - $200 Cash Prize for the Most Versatile Greyhound in Show!
Compete in any event offered at the Kentuckiana Cluster or the GCA Specialty:
- Conformation
- Obedience
- Rally
- Lure coursing
- FASTCAT
- Barn Hunt
- Dock diving
- CGC and Trick Dog testing
How to compete:
- Earn points for your best score, placement or Q in each event (and even earn a point just for trying – NQ’s count too!).
- Pick up a score card from Dani Edgerton at the specialty, record your points from any events you entered (on Thursday, Friday or Saturday) and make sure you turn it back in by the end of Saturday. All points are subject to verification by the Show Committee.
GCA will award ‘Most Versatile Greyhound in Show’, as well as a Runner Up shortly before breed judging on Sunday to the two Greyhounds that have earned the most total points over the weekend.
2024 GCA Top 10 Competition
When: Thursday, March 14 2024, at 6:30 PM
Where: In the show hall
Entries are now closed
Top Ten Invitations were sent to those dogs who, according to the Canine Chronicle (AKC) statistics, finished in the top ten places in 2023 for Breed, All Breed and National Owner Handled Series categories.
Each dog will be shown individually. There are three judges selected by the Show Committee who shall remain a secret until the day of show. One is a breeder judge, one is a handler, and one is a licensed judge who is not judging Greyhounds at the all breed shows. Their scores are combined and tallied to select the overall winner, along with a 'Peoples’ Choice' vote based on those attending the event.
Bring $10 for the very special Top Ten Catalog which features a photograph of each invited dog, their sire, dam, breeder, owner and handler, and a description of the dog and its accomplishments.
